The Orchard will be a key green space within Cambium Square, designed for relaxation, informal play and community use.
Featuring Cambridgeshire- origin orchard trees, including apples, plums, and pears, the space will be structured around a meandering path with seating set within wildflower meadow planting. The western end will provide a more formal paved area with seating beneath trees, while the eastern end will open into a more natural landscape with playful landforms inspired by historic ridges and furrow patterns.
A dedicated community growing area, shaded seating and integrated sustainable drainage features will further enhance the space, creating a rich and varied landscape for residents and visitors to enjoy.
