Who is SCIP?
SCIP (South Cambridgeshire Investment Partnership) is a 50:50 joint venture between South Cambridgeshire District Council and The Hill Group, one of the UK’s leading housebuilders.
Established in October 2020, our shared ambition is to help meet the need for new homes across South Cambridgeshire while creating lasting benefits for local communities.
Our priorities include:
- Delivering more sustainable homes that support South Cambridgeshire’s ambition to become net zero carbon, while creating places that are energy efficient and built for the future.
- Providing genuinely affordable homes to help more people access high-quality housing.
- Creating thriving communities through regeneration, new commercial spaces and developments designed around the needs of local people.
- Supporting vital public services by generating income that can be reinvested by the Council to benefit residents.
- Building responsibly by prioritising sustainable construction methods, reducing waste and conserving water throughout the design and construction process.
- Supporting local businesses and skills by working with local supply chains and creating employment, training and apprenticeship opportunities.
SCIP does not use existing Council land or assets. Instead, we identify and acquire new opportunities for development, helping to unlock land and deliver much-needed homes and investment across South Cambridgeshire.
